The Parables of Jesus
Jesus often spoke in parables to describe what it meant as a people to live in a fallen and broken world. Join us as we look at the parables of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew to see how these parables are just as powerful and rich for us today.

Pastor
Jacob and Lizzy have been engaged in ministry from the time they met as RUF interns in 2009. Jacob is a Native Texan who graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy from Texas A&M and a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. After serving in RUF and at Westminster PCA in Rock Hill, Jacob went on staff at Palmetto Hills PCA in Simpsonville, SC in Spring 2013. He has served as Pastor of Youth and Families, Interim Pastor, and most recently the Assistant Pastor overseeing Discipleship, Small Groups, and Christian Education, while sharing the pulpit with the Senior Pastor, Josh Martin. Jacob loves the outdoors, sports, and can be found around the smoker or kitchen, depending on the season.
Lizzy grew up in Clemson, SC and attended Clemson, graduating in 2009 with a degree in Communications. She served on staff with RUF at both UNC-Chapel Hill and Winthrop University. Lizzy continues her ministry by making their home a place of rest and welcome, while also engaging women in the church and community.
Jacob and Lizzy have three children, Norah (Age 7) , Grady (Age 4), and baby Molly.
They were given a full recommendation to plant in May 2021 by the PCA’s Mission to North America Church Planting Assessment and called by Piedmont Triad Presbytery to plant Immanuel Presbyterian Church in High Point.
